Spin-offs and sequels have indeed been the flavor on the small screen for a long time now where the likes of Kundali Bhagya and Yeh Hai Chahatein among others continue to run while a show like Mann Kee Awaz Pratigya is coming back with a sequel.
Another show that has been popular for the right and wrong reasons is Sasural Simar Ka. The Colors show enjoyed an immensely long run and went off air three years ago.
But the sequel has been in the plans for a while now and as we have already reported, several actors have been roped in for multiple roles too. While the likes of actors Karan Sharma and Avinash Mukherjee have been roped in to play the male leads, there is one actor from the previous cast who will be returning to the show for the second season – and that actor is Jayati Bhatia.
In the first season, Bhatia played the role of Mataji and now in the second season, she will be playing the role of the male lead’s grandmother.
With one actor returning in the second season, that makes it a little more exciting.
