Kumkum Bhagya, Naagin, Saathiya, Sasural Simar Ka & Other TV Shows That Must Go Off Air In 2017

Television content has been in debate these days. The supernatural, illogical and saas bahu dramas have been a little too much for the real audiences to handle. It’s high time that the makers present to us a fresh and new concept or stories.

We still have shows like Kasam which runs on old concept like plastic surgery (Remember, Mihir’s plastic surgery drama on popular show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi?). The makers got Kratika Sengar on Kasam back with the same plastic surgery drama! Isn’t it ‘very’ unrealistic?

Kumkum Bhagya
The makers are dragging the plot of Abhi-Pragya reunion so much that the audiences will surely give up their hopes someday! The same pregnancy and kidnap drama is repeated many times. Abhi’s character is shown so dumb that he still can’t recognise who is good or bad – all thanks to his memory loss track!

Saath Nibhana Saathiya We are tired of Kokila’s high pitched voice and Gopi’s Hema Malini style of rona-dhona! Mohammad Nazim, who had quit the show, was brought back on the show as the audiences are missing him and how – as Ahem’s step-brother Jaggi!! How on earth is this be possible in real life! Even Gaura, who was jailed and played villain on the show, was got back as the makers wanted to bring new twists!

Sasural Simar Ka Sasural Simar Ka is known for its bizarre tracks. From the lead actress turning to ‘makhi’ to the show copying ‘Game of Thrones’, the show was trolled on social networking sites for its unrealistic and unimaginable tracks.

Comedy Nights Bachao Comedy Nights Bachao is a comedy television series that needs to go off air. The roast comedy is not everybody’s cup of tea. The actors appear on this show to promote their new films. Many actors who appeared on the show had expressed their displeasure of being insulted. Also, a few popular actors refused to appear on the show, just because of its ‘roast’ concept!

Naagin 2 This supernatural drama has no doubt impressed the audiences. We strongly feel it is not the drama that is attracting the audiences, but the lead actors, their chemistry with the lead pair and costumes that is dragging the viewers to TV screens to watch the show. Naagin’s graphics and the characters are really hard to accept – This is reality which may seem hard to accept for die-hard Naagin fans!

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein Raman and Ishita are no doubt two lovely characters, but the same old techniques of separating them and getting them closer, several times, doesn’t make any sense. It’s time for the makers to wrap up the show!

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai This family drama has ruled the TRP charts for a long time. It is the longest running show as well. With the lead actors – Hina Khan, Karan Mehra and Rohan Mehra’s exit, the show has definitely lost many loyal audiences. Although the makers are trying to bring the show back on track, the same old technique of an elder (Kartik’s Dadi) of the family, creating trouble in couple’s (Naira and Kartik) life, is boring! On the other hand, shows like Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai are long running shows and it is high time for the makers of these shows to let other fresh and new shows to come on air.

Not just because they are long running shows, we are tired of watching the same old concept and tracks. Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya is one such example for its bizarre tracks! No doubt, the lead characters are too lovable and the most wanted jodis in the television industry, but the track has become so monotonous. They are just recycling the same old tracks and fooling the audiences. It is better for the makers to come up with a finite series, and later come back with the new season instead of dragging the show for so long just for the sake of TRPs.
