Popular couple Vikrant Singh and Monalisa are already winning hearts on Star Plus’celebrity couple reality show Smart Jodi. Coming from a regional cinema background, both Monalisa and Vikrant have become a known name in the Television world.
Audiences are in the awe of Mona and Vikrant’s cute camaraderie. The duo met on a Bhojpuri film set and fell in love. After a few years of courtship period, they got married on national television in Bigg Boss season 8 wherein Monalisa as Antara Biswas appeared as a contestant.
India Forums got in touch with Monalisa and asked her about appearing on yet another reality show after taking the wedding vows on television, she said, “My Television journey has been amazing… coming from a regional industry, where I did more than 125 Bhojpuri movies and then getting so much love from the Television industry and from my fans, means a lot to me… After our marriage on national television people started looking at me in a different way… with much more respect and much more love… as they found me very real… I got the biggest break in a non-fiction genre with popular show ‘Nazar’ for Star Plus… People loved me inspite of me playing a negative character… there was no looking back after that… and again I am back with this new and unique reality show ‘Smart Jodi… this is again going to be a great journey for me as this time I am accompanied by my loving husband… where we will connect with our fans and convey our real-life stories which we had never talked about till date”.
When asked who among herself and husband Vikrant was more excited for the show, Mona replied, “I guess both were equally enthralled and kicked to take up the show as both of us will be seen together. The concept of the show is so unique… we will get to play games together, dance together, talk about our relationship properly for the first time ever… We’re elated on being a part of such a grand show”.
