‘Durga Aur Charu’ takes ten years’ leap; Rachi Sharma, Adirja Roy and Mohit Kumar play lead roles


Colors’ show ‘Durga aur Charu’ has been in the news for the speculated leap. The currently features popular child actors Aurra Bhatnagar Badoni and Vaishnavi Prajapati in lead roles. The current track of the show revolves around Charu’s identity being revealed.

While there were many names floating in the media to replace the child actresses, the promo of the show reveals Rachi Sharma, Adirja Roy and Mohit Malhotra bagging the lead roles in the project. Rachi will essay the character of Durga while Adirja will be seen as grown up Charu. Mohit Malhotra’s character details are still under the wraps.

The promo of the post leap story in the show is out. The promo features Durga and Charu both becoming barristers just like their mother Bondita. Durga is grateful for having Charu in her life who inspired her and motivated her. On the contrary, Charu blames Durga for snatching her childhood from her. The promo ends with Mohit Malhotra making a smashing entry which establishes that both Durga and Charu will fall in love with the same guy.

The story of ‘Durga aur Charu’ revolved around Durga and Charu who’re the daughters of Bondita and Anirudh; Charu is the younger daughter who has got similar traits to her mother – she is fierce and outspoken. Whereas Durga – the elder daughter looks exactly like her mother but has an opposite personality – she is meek and pessimistic.
