Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is back with a fresh season and this time it has just got better with fancier sets, popular celebs and Jacqueline Fernandez as a new addition to the panel of judges. While we already adore Karan Johar for his entertaining moves and choreographer Ganesh Hegde for his bang on commentary, Jacqueline’s stint as a first wasn’t bad either. It could have been better though.
There is no lack of positive vibes and smiles with Jacqueline around. She exudes oomph while dancing, and her expressions and attitude are just perfect. She brought the same on Jhalak’s stage when she danced to the tunes of her famous songs ‘Mujhe Toh Teri Latt’ and ‘Sau Tarah’ on the premiere episode of Season 9 last week.
Not the one to shy away, Jacqueline added spunk to the show as she was up for impromptu gigs and acts as well. Her camaraderie with the judges, the host and the contestants was also quite entertaining. Her presence added glamour and style to ‘Jhalak’, and definitely increased its hotness quotient. For the premiere episode, Jacqueline looked pretty in a hot pink off-shoulder gown.
However, what appeared to be shallow was her frivolous comments to the contestants. Taking over the mantle from Manish, Jacqueline happily flirted with Shantanu and called him ‘the chocolate boy’ and did not hesitate to give a nickname to Sidhant.
When giving scores, Jacqueline constantly looked at other judges for their score card and then gave her verdict. It was quite a thumbs down act. She may be a judge for the first time, but that shouldn’t deter her from giving her own opinions and judgment.
