It was further confirmed and reports of actor Shakti Arora entering the show hit the internet. Dheeraj later stated that he amicably decided to call it quits with the team of ‘Kundali Bhagya’.
Days after the news, Dheeraj apparently signed a new show co-starring Surbhi Chandana for Colors. The show is titled ‘Sherdil Shergill’ and will be produced by Saurabh Tewari’s Parin Multimedia Pvt Ltd. Interestingly, Dheeraj and Surbhi had worked together for a short span of time for Naagin 5.
A source confirmed the buzz with Bombay Times and said, “The story is a breakaway from usual saas-bahu sagas. SS is a rom-com revolving around two individuals from different backgrounds and ideologies. While Dheeraj is the privileged one Surbhi will play a self-made woman. It will be interesting to see how their paths cross and they fall in love eventually. The unit is expected to commence the shoot in a couple of weeks.”
