Read the interview here.

How has your character Krishna developed as compared to the first season?

As a story evolves, a character too tends to showcase change. The story has now moved 9 years further, and since Krishna is now 9 years older than he was, everything has evolved. He is now much mature and a father of two kids. Also, there is a consistent attempt from Pratigya to make him a good man, so that he does not go in evil or an ugly direction. Initially, in the first season, Krishna was seen as a person with diminished hope, but now he is nothing in comparison to that. He has slated himself clean for his family though he certainly yet has his trigger points.

Tell us about the various preparations that you have undertaken for your character in this season?

Initially, in the last season, it was difficult to pick the right notes to play Krishna as the character itself is very raw and has multiple shades. Although, I love challenges and I strongly believe it pushes you for your best. Krishna as a character is very complex, and to bring it fine to the screen I had to work on the layers of the character. All these efforts that I had put in to build my character in the last season have helped me essay it once again. However, there are a few changes and elements that I have added and worked upon my character since the show returns after 9 years with a developed story. Besides that, I have been working towards losing some weight although there are no major transformations.

Your chemistry with Pooja was widely appreciated, do you think that the audience will get to witness the same magic once again in season 2?

When we shot our first scene almost 9 years later, we didn’t feel like we were shooting together after so many years. We certainly did not feel any kind of pressure either, everything went on naturally as we share a great rapport. The chemistry between us is still alive. We share a very friendly bond and are very supportive of each other. It’s a fun and positive zone. Though to be honest, the judgment lies with the audience as we will now be seen as parents in the show.

Did you face any challenges while essaying this role once again?

There weren’t any major challenges that I had to undergo this time since essaying Krishna was a bit of an easy task. Everything was pretty natural as Krishna is like another person inside me, it was like muscle memory that came out after 9 years. I would say, I did not have to do much to bring out the character. However, there are a few changes and elements that I have added and worked upon.

What are your expectations from the show ‘Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2’?

The audience had showered a lot of love on the first season and also waited for a long time for the second season of the show to return to see Krishna and Pratigya together again on their TV screens. Now all I hope for is that we meet and fulfill the expectations of the audience who had been waiting for us for such a long time.

Would you like to send a message to the audience on your behalf?

I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful wishes and messages that we have been receiving from across the country. Our show is something to look forward to, so I’d like to take this opportunity and encourage more viewers to tune in and watch this show.

Well, it looks like the show has been doing fairly well after all and fans are sure interested to know what is in store ahead!
