Abhinav Kashyap’s debut film as a director, Dabangg, had a dream run at the box office. Not everyone’s first film becomes the fifth highest grossing Bollywood film in history, and the filmmaker tasted major success.
Three years later, his second film, Besharam, hit the screens. High expectations were riding on the film, which featured Ranbir, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor. However, the film was a massive debacle and he was instantly written off.
Now, according to a report in SpotboyE, Abhinav is wooing Shah Rukh Khan for his next. Reportedly, Abhinav met SRK and narrated the script to him, but the actor is yet to give the green signal. If he gives it a nod, the yet-to-be-titled film will go on floors in 2017.
Meanwhile, SRK has two big releases lined up for 2017 – Rahul Dholakia’s Raees and Imtiaz Ali’s next with Anushka Sharma.
