Happy about my heroic exit; ‘Udaariyaan’ has been an enriching journey: Abhishek Kumar aka Amrik

Colors’ show ‘Udaariyaan’ is getting quite interesting with each passing episode. The current track of the show revolves around Amrik passing away while Fateh requests Tanya to become Tejo and come to Moga. Tanya agrees for Amrik’s sake.

Amrik’s death sequence left the viewers in tears. Actors Ankit Gupta (Fateh), Isha Malviya (Jasmine) and Abhishek Kumar (Amrik) nailed the sequence and delivered relatable performances.

India Forums got in touch with actor Abhishek Kumar and asked him about his thoughts on his exit from the show, Abhishek said, “When I heard the script, I had a mixed reaction. I was happy as well as sad. Happy, because, I will be able to try my luck in other projects and probably bag a lead part and sad because I had to leave the cast of the show which has grown extremely close to my heart. I remember, the last few days were quite difficult and the last day shoot was filled with tears but I’m happy to receive so much love from the unit. I never knew everybody loves me so much”.

Abhishek shares an extremely close bond with Isha Malviya offscreen, talking about her reaction on his exit, Abhishek added, “I remember informing the same to Isha during the London schedule. I entered her room and couldn’t contain my tears. She panicked and asked me why I felt low and the moment I informed her about my exit, she burst out in tears and cried the whole day. I always tell her and my fans that #JasRik (Jasmine- Amrik) has ended but #AbhiSha (Abhishek- Isha) will live on”.

On his exit, Abhishek added, “Well, I really like the growth of my character in the show. From a character artist, I jumped on to become a parallel lead with a decent scope of performance. I’ve learned a lot in this span of time and will forever be grateful to Ravi sir and Sargun mam for the opportunity and the trust that they’ve showed on me. The best part is that I’ve got a heroic exit. Amrik dies while saving Tejo, so, yes, I’m happy and content”.
