Sony Entertainment Television’s prestigious singing reality show, ‘Indian Idol – Season 13’s’ contestant Sanchari Sengupta is not only a unique singer who has won everyone’s heart with her opera singing but is also known for her quirky sarees that are hand painted by none other than her ‘mommy dearest!’ In the past, the mother-daughter duo also extensively spoke about the saree business which was much appreciated by the judges – Vishal Dadlani, Himesh Reshammiya and especially Neha Kakkar!
Helping her mother spread the business ahead, Sanchari who has been wanting to surprise her mother since a while will be seen taking her on the sets of India’s biggest business reality show- Shark Tank India 2 and meet the Sharks – Anupam Mittal (Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com – People Group), Aman Gupta (Co-Founder and CMO of boAt), Namita Thapar (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (Co-Founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics) and Peyush Bansal (Founder & CEO of Lenskart.com). Delighted to be seated with the eminent Sharks, Sanchari’s mom will not only receive compliments for her quirky business but will also receive business inputs from them which can further help her amplify her business. Applauding Sanchari’s mother’s talent, shark Namita Thapar will be seen pitching to Sanchari’s mother that she will help her sell the sarees online and on airports shops. Sanchari will also be seen revealing that judge Neha Kakkar has been a big motivator for her mother and her first customer.
Taking about the moment, Sanchari Sengupta, contestant of Indian Idol – Season 13 shares, “My mother has been designing all the sarees that have been seen on the show so far and I thought, why not surprise her by getting her on Shark Tank India 2 where she can get the right guidance on how to handle her business and grow it further. I was very happy to meet the Sharks who took time out and spoke to my mother about the business. I am glad that I was able to do this for her.”
Sanchari’s mother shares, “I was very excited meeting the Sharks who saw my sarees and appreciated my art! I never imagined that they would love it so much. I explained them in detail about the process and time that goes into making the sarees and they patiently heard it all. I am truly surprised with Sanchari’s gesture as I never imagined coming on a huge and respected platform like Shark Tank India 2 as it is because of my daughter I was able to meet such reputed Sharks!”
