Sony TV show ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2’ is getting the love of the audiences. The show recently took a leap post which Ram and Priya played by actors Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar bid adieu to the show paving way for new generation entering the show. Niti Taylor, Randeep Rai, Leenesh Mattoo and Pooja Banerjee are playing the lead roles in the project.
Alefia Kapadia who plays the character of Sarah in the show spoke exclusively to India Forums and expressed her thoughts on biding adieu to Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar as Ram and Priya, she said, “It was really hard bidding good bye to them since I’ve known them since my first show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara in 2012. It was like a part of me was being ripped out and sent away.”
We asked Alefia about ageing on screen and if she thinks she can get typecast into playing older characters, she said, “It implies that I’m a versatile actor. In my opinion the acting industry, across all platforms (OTT, TV, films, TVCs, theatre) is evolving at as great intensity. Of course there is dedicated audience to each, but along with the audience the makers are more open minded than ever before. So ageing above your physiological age for one show and/or being shown younger for another is evidence of how the makers and the audience have become open minded.”
When asked about the new generation that has been introduced in the show, Alefia said, “The newbies of BALH2 have done considerable work earlier and they seem promising. Hoping that it would add a fresh flavor that will be accepted and loved by the audience.”
