It was the first to report about Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey coming up with yet another show on Colors. While the details were under wraps, it has now been reported that the show is named Swaran Ghar and will feature Sangita Ghosh in the lead role.
Last night, we also reported that Jimmy Sheirgill has been approached to play the lead in the show. And now, sources reveal that Rahil Azam, popular for his roles in Hatim, Maddam Sir, among others, was also approached to play the lead in the show. However, sources also reveal that the actor is not doing the show after all.
Meanwhile, Jimmy also spoke to India Forums, and told us, ”Yes, I was in talks for the show. I know Ravi and Sargun since a long time and they’re really close to me. They had come to me with an interesting script which I quite liked. My only concern regarding shooting for TV shows was that it requires a lot of your time. But this show required a few days in a month and it was falling in my scheme of things. While I’m interested in the same, there haven’t been any progress. I haven’t signed the dotted lines and there haven’t been any discussions post that.”
The promos of the show are expected to be out soon and the sets have already been erected in Chandigrah, reports suggest. Now it is awaited to see as to who will play the male lead, after all!
