anveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have sparked frenzied speculation that they are tying the knot this year. If the grapevine is to be believed, the DeepVeer (the moniker lovingly given to the couple by fans) wedding will take place in November.
According to a report in Filmfare, Ranveer and Deepika have finally zeroed in on their wedding destination. The couple will exchange garlands in Italy, a la Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma.
The much-awaited wedding will take place on November 10 at Lake Como in Lombardy, Italy. Lake Como boasts of a spectacular view, with the picturesque Alps towering over the northern end.
“Both Ranveer and Deepika were keen on having a destination wedding in Italy and they have finalised Lake Como as their wedding destination. The place is dotted with exquisite villas along the shoreline, which is why both of them decided to wed in this beautiful place,” a source close to the couple told the magazine.
Incidentally, earlier this year, when India Today Television caught up with Ranveer, he emphasised that marriage was not on the cards anytime soon. However, he admitted that he had been thinking about it.
“These are things I think about. I try to create a life and work balance. As much as I am consumed by my work at the moment, these things (marriage) are on my mind. But nothing decisive as of now,” he said, adding that he was caught up with his professional commitments and that getting married would have to wait.
