Buzz has it that Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty are no more friends. And reportedly, the reason behind their friendship going sour is the failure of Dilwale.
Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty gave a superhit film Chennai Express in 2013. From songs to acting, everything about the film was appreciated by fans and it went onto become of the biggest hits of that year. And this very success made Shah Rukh and Rohit join hands again for Dilwale.
Despite Bollywood’s best onscreen couple and beautiful locales, Dilwale failed to create any magic at the box office. In fact, the film bowed down to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama Bajirao Mastani. And buzz has it that this failure has led to a rift between SRK and Rohit.
In fact, the duo was supposed to work on their third film together. But Dilwale debacle has made them change their mind. Moreover, Rohit has already announced his next film Golmaal 4 with Ajay Devgn.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, SRK and Rohit both hold each other responsible for the failure of Dilwale. And reportedly, there friendship has gone for a toss post the debacle.
A source was quoted as telling the daily, “The film that Shah Rukh and Rohit were supposed to do together next is now shelved. They both hold each other responsible for the failure of Dilwale. Rohit feels Shah Rukh made a big mistake releasing Dilwale on the same Friday as Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani. Shah Rukh feels Rohit didn’t work hard enough on Dilwale. The parting has not been amicable.”
And now both are busy with their own projects. While SRK will be seen in Raees and Dear Zindagi, Rohit has signed Golmaal 4 with Ajay Devgn
